400 Kids Get New Kicks from Delta Kits

Once again, it’s that time of the year where lights, trees, and decorations go up, families get together, warm meals are shared, and gifts are opened. There’s something special about watching a child open a gift and getting to see the joy it brings them; they waited all year for this day to arrive! What if we could extend our hearts a little further, outside of our families to bring the same kind of joy to all of the kids around the world? What if there was a much more basic need that we could help fill that would not only bring joy to a child, but could mean the difference between life and death for a child? This Christmas Delta Kits partnered with Life Outreach International to provide barefoot children across the globe with new shoes.

It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season that sometimes we forget to see where the real need is. Sometimes we take for granted our most basic needs as we are hoping for a new luxury item that we have always wanted. Many times, those most basic needs mean the world to someone else; it could be something as simple as a pair of shoes.

There are children all over the world in poverty stricken and underdeveloped nations who do not own a pair of shoes. Here at Delta Kits, we have a deep rooted love for those who are in need; this means indifference is not an option. We bear the responsibility of Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do good; seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphan, and plead for the widow,” which is why Delta Kits is helping to provide shoes for children this Christmas. This gift won’t save the world, but it can make a difference in the lives of 400 children, and that’s a start.
