Team Member Spotlight: Mindy Beaver.

Have you ever spoken to one of our amazing team-members on the phone? Or seen our social media posts? Or wondered what we do in our free time other than thinking about windshield repair?

Well, here’s your chance to put a name or voice to a face and get to know us a little more! This month we are doing a team member spotlight on our General Manager, Mindy Beaver.

Where are you from? What brought you to Eugene & what makes you stay?

I was born in Oregon and grew up in a small town about 15 miles outside of Eugene.  I’ve never really considered moving away. My family and friends live within miles from me, and I can’t imagine moving away from them. With a car and some gas, we can drive just about anywhere we want to go, so that’s how we typically spend our vacations.

What is something about you that you think makes you unique?

I snort when I laugh. It seems to get longer and louder as I get older. Since I love laughter, snorting is something that happens often. People often say they know I’m nearby without seeing me because of my laugh. I guarantee I’ll get tagged in every “snort” or “snaughling” meme that circles Facebook.

How long have you been a delta kits employee?

I can’t believe it, but it’s been 9 years!

Favorite hobby besides windshield repair?

Whoa, ….you mean there are other things to do in your spare time? Macro Photography is my favorite, though I don’t take the time for it very often.  Oregon is such a beautiful place to live; an hour’s drive in any given direction gives me the opportunity to capture vastly different images.

How many windshields have you repaired/funny story?

Ha! I’m a manager, by definition I don’t actually work, right?

What is your favorite part of your job?

This is the hardest question of all, and it’s simply not possible for me to pick just one thing. I love the staff here at Delta Kits, we are family. I love chatting with customers and helping new techs work through insurance billing. Furthermore, I love training days because I get the opportunity to meet our customers in person. I love troubleshooting difficult problems, and I love when the problems aren’t difficult, either.

FAVORITE QUOTE?

It’s a toss-up. If you ask my family, they would say “Suck it up buttercup. “ Another one I use often is: Coffee in hand, big girl panties pulled up, sparkle in my eye and a smile on my face…yep I’d say I’m ready for the day….bring it on.
