Is it necessary to “prime” a surface chip with a thin resin prior to using Premium Pit or Premium Pit Plus resin to polish?

Answer:

A satisfactory repair to a surface chip can be made using only Premium Pit Plus Resin and Premium Pit Polish however we do recommend coating the surface of a surface pit with a low viscosity fill resin-like MagniBond Resin. It is not necessary as a primer but a low viscosity resin will wick into the scratches to improve the appearance of the finished repair. It is also not necessary to polish with a cork but doing so may also improve the appearance of the finished repair.
