Removing light scratches from tempered auto glass

Question:

I have been attempting to remove light scratches from tempered auto glass windows from a green scotch pad with cerium oxide and a dual action polisher with very little luck.

Would I have better luck with the 25010 polishing head, a 7-9” rotary (Dewalt/Makita) or?

Scratches are throughout with glass. I have dulled them, but they are still present, can’t really feel them with fingernail, maybe one or two, perhaps.

Answer:

Delta Kit’s cerium oxide and polishing head can be used effectively to remove light scratches from windshields, mirrors, residential plate glass windows, and other non-tempered glass. In some cases cerium oxide may also be used to remove scratches from hardened or tempered glass, but it is much more difficult and therefore not recommended.
