How do I bill the insurance company?

Question:

I have a job that the customer wants me to use her insurance company to pay for the work, how do I bill the insurance company?

Answer:

You will need to be set up with Lynx and SGC Third-Party Administrators (TPA’s) so you can have a shop ID number.

Before you make the call, make sure to collect the following information, so you can provide it:
Customers first and last name
Address
Telephone number
Year, make, model and Vehicle Identification Number
location of break
Date of Damage

After you provide all of the above information, the TPA states why they will pay out and if you accept the payment, they issue an authorization number. Do the repair and submit an invoice with all the information you gathered and an authorization number, so you can get paid.
