Repairing Long Cracks from Cold Winter Weather

I have an inexpensive windshield repair kit. I am retired, and I noticed my friends and I all have long cracks in their windshields, probably a result from the northern Alberta cold winters. What resin would you recommend for me to use to (try) and repair their cracked windshields?
